Lance is a graduate of the Products of Design Masters program at The School of Visual Arts where he earned his MFA in Product Design, as well as the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his BFA in Design. Studies include product and graphic design, typography and layout, design research and systems thinking, rapid prototyping and making. Lance is a natural-born problem solver; he believes in an honest approach to design, systems and consequential thinking, user experience and research, detailed prototyping and minimalistic beauty. Further interests include the relationship between products and their effect on human emotion and performance and the unconventional use of resources and standardized materials in design.
